H.O. Wedge™ subwoofer systems incorporate JL Audio's patented chamber-coupled, slot-port design to extract immense output with excellent sound quality from their subwoofers. Each H.O. Wedge enclosure is purposely engineered and tuned for serious output and sound quality. H.O. Wedge™ systems are built to exacting quality standards in our Miramar, Florida factory and are available with W7AE (flagship), W6v3 and W3v3 subwoofer drivers. Return to H.O. Insanely powerful H.O. (High Output) systems use our patented, chamber-coupled port design to deliver very high SPL while retaining excellent sound quality. The slot-port wraps around the inner enclosure and terminates on the mounting plane of the woofer. This provides the necessary surface area and port length to maximize the performance of the driver, while also coupling the port output and direct woofer output to radiate together into the listening space. This advanced cabinet-building technique uses CNC-machining to create precise panel joints that make enclosure assembly more efficient and exact. By using quality medium-density fiberboard and the efficient V-Groove assembly technique, an enclosure’s overall strength and seal is far superior than the typical butt-joint construction found on imported enclosures.

JL Audio's Miramar, Florida loudspeaker production facility is one of the most advanced in the world.
