In my installation, I didn't want to loss function of my trunk as these new Camaros barely have one. I've used JL for YEARS and have always been pleased with the quality so naturally every bit of audio equipment had to be JL. From the connections ,both power and signal, to fuses, highs and lows only JL products were used. Im by no means a professional, but have been doing audio installations as a hobby since before I was even old enough to drive. For the enclosure I went to SubThump and picked up one of their prefabbed boxes as they came built to fit and wrapped in matching carpet. Also while shopping with SubThump I picked up one of their Factory Amp Replacement Kits, also known as a F.A.R.K. This kit allows integration of after market amp while not having to modify the factory wiring harness. The Camaros with upgraded Boston Acoustic come with a factory amp and this kit basically replaces this and eliminates the need to splice, cut or hack up the factory harness. Future directions include: swapping W6v2s for a pair of W6v3s. Also upgrading factory single battery and wiring in a pair of Optima Yellow-tops in the spare wheel well.
