I joined my 1st USACi comp on May 28th, 2006 and scored 138db off the dash. I feel that was very good considering I run only a 500/1 and my subs sit 8 feet away and my box was tuned low for SQ, not high for SPL. "My box is 6 cu ft and tuned at 31hz".
I've now decided to tune my system for SQ competition.
I'd like to give my box builder a big thanks for the great work and look forward to getting the XR's.
System details: Front doors have dynamat and VR690-CXi Components and in the rear side walls. VR075-CT Components mounted up front and a 1 farad cap mounted on the back of my subs box. Right now my 300/2 is powering my tweeters, overkill I know, but my plans are to replace my front VR690 and VR075-CT with XR650. Then I'll mount my old VR690 in the back below the others, so thats why I have the 300/2 to power my future XR set.
