This is Richard Quiroz's 1999 Lincoln Navigator. We haven't come up with a good name for this vehicle as of yet. This entire project was intended to be some thing of a "budget wall". I think for the amount of time and money invested, so far it has turned out great. Future upgrades include monitors on each side of the JL emblem in the back, as well as a PS2 right below it. And just to let you know, these new W1v2 subs really rock...they have to be just about the best "bang for the buck" in the business.

The signal chain starts out with a Kenwood KVT-911 DVD in dash head unit which feeds the inputs of an Audio Control Three.1 half din equalizer. Front, rear, and sub information then head on to the amplifiers. Running the subs are two JL Audio e1800D's that each power 4 12W1v2's for a total of 8. Two e4300's handle the mids and highs. One 4 channel amp runs the front and rear doors that both contain a set of TR 570 CXi's. The other 4 channel amp powers a set of TR 650 CXi's on the wall flanking the subs, and a set of TR 525 CXi's in the rear hatch area.

The ported sub enclosure provides 2 cubic feet of space for each sub and has a grille that covers all the ports made out of a combination of black plexiglass, MDF, and metal mesh. The wall is covered in blue and silver suede that has been stitched together to match the custom covered headliner. The seats and console tops have also been re-upholstered in leather and blue suede inserts.

Also of note, the rear side windows have been modified to show a blue lit JL Audio logo when the rear hatch is opened or by operation of a switch. The back lighting of the JL badge in the rear also lights up in the same way.

Whether it's at a high profile car show, or a local "show n' shine", this truck really turns heads. With it's custom two-tone paint job with carbon fiber accents, 22" rims, eye catching interior, and tricked out sound system, this Navigator is really one of a kind. Thanks to everyone at JL.
