This is Ronnie Trammell's "Orange ya jealous". This truck is exactly what I wanted it to be. From cruising around town, entering car shows, and just plain having fun...THIS TRUCK JAMS!!!
It all starts with the headunit...a Kenwood KDC-769 that is connected to a 10 disc kenwood changer installed under the drivers seat. The CD player next feeds an Audio Control Three.1 line driver/equalizer. From the Three.1, the signal is split up into front, rear, and sub and on into the three amplifiers. A 300/4 powers the mids and highs. An XR 6 1/5 component set lives in the front door panels in a painted-to-match-the-truck baffle with a lighted JL Audio badge to add "a little something extra". The rear extra-cab doors receive similar paint-to-match treatment to house XR 5 1/4 coaxials with more back lit JL badges. The 4 10w7's call home to a 8 cu.ft. custom fiberglass painted-to-match ported enclosure divided into two separate chambers. Each pair of 10's is powered by a 1000/1 to provide the nose-hair tingling, chest restricting, ear numbing bass. YOU GOTTA LOVE IT!!!
Also of note is the custom built painted-to-match center console the spans the space from the dash to the front of the sub enclosure. This console houses the head unit, the equalizer, Dakota Digital air ride pressure gauge, the switch box for the air ride, and the now relocated air condition controls. Above the console, in place of the factory radio and a/c controls is a custom molded 8" monitor that is used to show video from the DVD player in the driver side of the console. The amplifiers are sitting on top of the sub enclosure in their own painted fiberglass rack with the 300/4 "floating" above the 1000/1's on a custom built steel pedestal.
All the interior upholstery has been changed to gray leather with orange leather inserts. Even the headliner received gray leather treatment. In addition, the sub enclosure has plexigla
