The Chevy was one of the models built in RHD for the UK market I bought the car new in 2001. The system is fronted by a Alpine pop out DVD head unit with a surround sound processor in the boot. Originally fitted with 4 Directed amps I upgraded to JL Slash and A series after about 12 months, and was not disappointed. I have lost most of the boot to the stereo but the children love it as it has 5 screens so everyone can watch what they like. I have also fitted a Playstation and multiple, multiple disc players. The system is completely active in that each speaker has its own dedicated amplifier channel(12 channels). The sound stage is set by a pair of ZR,s running in modified factory door locations with power supplied from the 300/4. Rear fill is by XR's and another set of XR's are fitted in the trunk for display use these run from the A4300. Bass is supplied by two 12 W6 in a custom box which manages to rock the whole car these getting thier power from a 1000/1. I used a lot of Dynamat Extreme throughout the car to keep out unwanted vibration and noise. A 300/2 supplies the power to the centre channel speakers which are both Alpine specific units. The system is all highlighted by red cathode tubes designed for computers as they give off less heat. The vehicle isn't used for show its just a fun family car.
