I previously had a pair of 18w3's in an isobaric clamshell ported design, but believe me, this sub hits around 150 dbs, about 3 dbs more than the 18's. The sub box is a ported design tuned to about 34 hz and was painted to match the car's color.
The 13w7 is driven by a PG tantrum 1200 amp and the signal is processed by a bass cube and an epicenter. The mids and highs are run independently by two RF amps and crossed over using the head unit's internal lossless active crossovers.
