Position: Social Media Manager

We’re looking for a social mastermind! Our social channels have proven to be a great avenue for our company to connect with existing and potential customers.  As the Social Media Manager you will grow our followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our company. You should have command of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience. The job is a healthy mix of community management, platform management and engaging with creative on content.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop channel specific strategies that play to each outlet's strengths, with a plan to measure success and identify potential adjustments to the strategy
  • Establish and manage the budget for sponsored content and boosts to grow audience and engagement
  • Create a content calendar that not only engages our audience but also supports the company’s business direction.
  • Manage as well as participate on a team that listens and engages in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads and from brand new audiences that don’t yet know us.
  • Mine the platforms for social influencers and advocates of the brand we should be working closer with
  •  Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success
  • Measure, analyze, and report on the performance and trends for each social channel
  • Maintain a pulse on the social world and explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach our target demographic

 

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with a command of each network and their best practices.
  • Conversation driven copywriting skills that embody the ability to capture the audience’s attention with concise copy.
  • A working knowledge of SEO, key word search and Google Analytics
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
  • Proficiency in Hootsuite for social monitoring, scheduling, and reporting
  • Bonus experience and skills include Adobe Creative Suite, Bronto, Zendesk, demand generation marketing, inbound marketing, email marketing, and blogging.
