JL Audio M-Series marine subwoofer drivers benefit from the same technological base that has produced the world's finest home and automotive subwoofers. They have been designed with the aid of our most advanced modeling technologies and are built with fanatical attention to detail in our Miramar, Florida factory to withstand years of duty in a true marine environment.

To achieve the best low-frequency performance in real-world, open-air marine environments, you need a specialized subwoofer driver. This is why we offer the M-Series subwoofers in two distinct versions.

Product Line Overview

The M10W5 is optimized for operation in compact enclosures (0.5 to 1.0 cu. ft.) and features extremely long linear excursion capability for outstanding output and low-distortion performance. It is available as a raw driver or pre-loaded in a 100% fiberglass enclosure, precisely tuned to extract optimum performance (see Enclosed Systems / Enclosed Subwoofer Systems).

The M8IB5, M10IB5 and M12IB6 subwoofers are optimized for high-power, infinite-baffle operation and can be installed in a variety of locations, without the need for a dedicated enclosure behind it.
