Tampa, FL — October 4, 2016 — JL Audio, exhibiting at IBEX 2016 in Tampa, Florida, demonstrated their MediaMaster® source unit's NMEA 2000® audio entertainment protocol compatibility with Multifunction Displays (MFD's) from Lowrance®, Simrad® and Garmin®. JL Audio also announced that it is working with other MFD manufacturers to integrate the MediaMaster® via the NMEA 2000® standards.

The NMEA 2000® standards provide boat owners, dealers or aftermarket equipment providers the ability to customize and integrate different certified products easily, within a common connection protocol.

JL Audio's Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning, Alan Wenzel, said: "JL Audio is committed to the NMEA entertainment standards and we are very excited to be showing various NMEA 2000® MFD interfaces working seamlessly with our MediaMaster™ at IBEX 2016."

JL Audio multimedia devices will begin shipping with compatible NMEA 2000® audio entertainment protocols starting in November, 2016. Firmware updates will also be available via the JL Audio website for units already in the marketplace.
